An evening with Anya Elvidge

Last week Escape Studios hosted an evening event with Anya Elvidge, a talented artist who worked at Creative Assembly on titles such as Total Warhammer.

Anya Elvidge’s talk was about “Making Your Own Career Path” and she shared with us her relatable experience from a student trying to find her passion, to an artist at Creative Assembly, to finally a freelancer trying to balance her love for stylised art and her other life plans.

She underlined how crucial self-promotion of your work online is, how important it is to try to find your niche and she ended the talk reflecting that there is never really an end goal.
Besides this great presentation, Anya was also a guest tutor for the 3rd Year Games students where she introduced the class to stylised art and hand-painted texturing in Photoshop.!

We hope you have all enjoyed having Anya around and have learnt a lot from her.
Huge thank you to everyone who attended, we had such an amazing turnout!
